How has your life changed once you got into the media industry?
I think the industry makes you grow faster because you have to develop certain responsibilities in order to keep everything under control. It also showed me that nothing is impossible if you really work hard. I learned that taking risks is important, so i live my life to the fullest.

What led you to acting? And why did you choose it?
I was born and raised in Cuba, and remember developing an interest in music when i was around 6. By 7 i was already playing the piano and by 8, performing. The rush I felt onstage was unbelieveable. I then started dancing Afro Cuban contemporary dance which really encouraged my love for music and obviously performing. The idea of turning it into a serious career came here in the states. I feel its my duty to represent my country here. Cuba taught me how to love the arts, and with my own arts, I will show my love for Cuba. This is why I am an actress.

If you weren't an actress, what would you be doing?
I really like the criminal field, like CSI, forensic files and such. I find the suspense very interesting.

Where/what do you see yourself doing in 10 years?
Hopefully as a working actress, with a big family. My biggest dream is to have children and live a happy successful life.

What do you do to overcome your nerves before perfoming on stage?
The nerves are good. I like them, but the bad nerves you get rid of by having one all your rehearsals (for security) and breathing. Breathing is essential. When those nerves are completely gone i think an actor should consider another career.

What has been your biggest high light of your job so far?
I was lucky enough to meet and work with Alejandro Sanz. He has been my favorite musician since childhood. I also worked at Sabado Gigante, a famous Latin variety show, for 2 years. Plus, I did some touring when I sang for a band.

What do you love the most about your job?
The fact that you get to reach people. I wrote my one person show about Cuba, and my experiences there and here. I thought that I was going to get the best feedback from people that had been through a similar circumstance of exile. But then I saw how my work moved many other audiences. Now a days a prominent actor can be very influential.

If there was one thing you could change about your job, what would it be?
The fact that you have to be on the run. I like to live a quiet and peaceful lifestyle, and there isn't much time or room for that in this industry.

What do you have left to accomplish?
The world! I feel there is so much more to conquer. My next step is to move to LA by the end of this summer and pursue my career in California.
